Parallax-Free Registration of Aerial Video
نویسندگان
چکیده
Aerial video registration is traditionally performed using 2-d transforms in the image space. For scenes with large 3-d relief, this approach causes parallax motions which may be detrimental to image processing and vision algorithms further down the pipeline. A novel, automatic, and online video registration system is proposed which renders the scene from a fixed viewpoint, eliminating motion parallax from the registered video. The 3-d scene is represented with a probabilistic voxel model, and camera pose at each frame is estimated using an Extended Kalman Filter and a refinement procedure based on a popular visual servoing technique.

Detecting, Tracking, and Recognizing Activities in Aerial Video
In this dissertation, we address the problem of detecting humans and vehicles, tracking them in crowded scenes, and finally determining their activities in aerial video. Even though this is a well explored problem in the field of computer vision, many challenges still remain when one is presented with realistic data. These challenges include large camera motion, strong scene parallax, fast obje...
متن کاملParallax Effect Free Mosaicing of Underwater Video Sequence Based on Texture Features
In this paper, we present feature-based technique for construction of mosaic image from underwater video sequence, which suffers from parallax distortion due to propagation properties of light in the underwater environment. The most of the available mosaic tools and underwater image mosaicing techniques yields final result with some artifacts such as blurring, ghosting and seam due to presence ...
متن کاملSequential Reconstruction Segment-Wise Feature Track and Structure Updating Based on Parallax Paths
This paper presents a novel method for multi-view sequential scene reconstruction scenarios such as in aerial video, that exploits the constraints imposed by the path of a moving camera to allow for a new way of detecting and correcting inaccuracies in the feature tracking and structure computation processes. The main contribution of this paper is to show that for short, planar segments of a co...

متن کاملMoving Target Indication from a moving camera in the presence of strong parallax
We describe an algorithm for independent motion detection from video sequences recorded from a camera moving in a 3D rich environment. Such sequences are typical in the case of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles flying at low altitude over varied terrain and also for ground vehicles. We present detection results for both scenarios.
